Smartboard Issues

• My Smartboard won't interact...
  1. Check to make sure that the usb cord from the smartboard is plugged in to your computer.
  2. Make sure all the connections between your smartboard and computer are connected

• There's no picture on my Smartboard...
  1. Make sure both the computer and Smartboard projector are turned on.
  2. Make sure the VGA cord is attached on the back of your computer and into the wall.
  3. Reset monitor settings by pressing the Fn and F8 key at the same time. Try this 2-3 times.

• There's nothing on my computer screen but it shows on the board (or vice-versa)
  1. Press Fn-F8 keys to reset monitor settings
  

• The screen is larger or smaller than the board
  1. Align image to board
  2. Adjust the projector lens so that screen fills up the board
  3. Change monitor settings

• I can't get sound with my Smartboard
  1. Make sure the sound cord is plugged into the headphone port on your computer
  2. Check the PC Audio jack in the wall
  3. Check the volume on your Smartboard
  4. Check the volume settings on your computer

Printer Issues

• My printer won't print (nothing happens when you press print)...
  1. Make sure your printer is turned on
  2. Make sure there is paper in the printer
  3. Check for any error messages (paper jam, out of ink, etc...)
  4. Make sure the printer is attached to your computer (start > printers & faxes > printer name)
  5. Make sure you are printing to the correct printer (in program, file > print > printer name)

Laptop Issues

• I can't print from my wireless laptop...

• My laptop won't turn on...
  1. Plug in the charger (AC adapter)
  2. Call the manufacturer or your local repair shop...
  

• I can't connect to the internet from my laptop...
  1. If you are on a wireless connection, check to see if any networks are in range and connect
  2. This may be related to your NIC card...either plug in your AC adapter or check the settings (start > control panel > NIC > settings - select always activate NIC on battery)
